The New Zealand National Parkour Gathering or NatGat for short is coming at you this Summer! EXCEPT… this time, it’s NatHam because Hamilton is forgoing the 2014 HamJam to host you for an unforgettable national gathering.
When: February 6th – 8th, 2015
Who: Anyone and everyone!
Accommodation: Free marae style and camping accommodation is available at the Clandon Parkour Reserve. There are toilet, shower, limited kitchen facilities and scaffolding/training equipment available.
If you wish to stay at the Clandon Parkour Reserve, please fill out the booking form (first-come, first served for indoor accommodation). Accommodation is free, but a koha is appreciated for power and water usage.
*Day 1 (Friday 6th) – Research, workshops & AGM @ Centre for Sport Science & Human Performance – Wintec
1:00pm – 5:00pm: Drop landing research – experienced practitioners wanted as participants.
1:30pm – 2:00pm: NZ Parkour AGM
2:00pm – 4:00pm: Workshops
Workshop #1: Girls workshop
Workshop #2: Instructor training
*Day 2 (Saturday 7th) – Natural training @ Wairere Falls
10:00am – 4:00pm: Jump, climb, swim, train and explore.
– Bring: Water, food & sunscreen for the day. There are public toilets at the very beginning of the track.
– If you are not staying at Clandon, be aware that there are NO workshops for beginners and anyone coming to the falls are responsible for themselves. Participate at your own risk.
*Day 3 (Sunday 8th) – Urban training & introductory workshops @ Hamilton, New Zealand
10:00am: Introduction and group warm-up @ Waikato Museum
10:30am – 12:00pm: Workshops for beginners
10:30am – 12:00pm: Open training for existing practitioners
12:00pm: Begin exploring other city locations
